How to Use Our Free Calendars

Our calendars are 100% free. You can print them out and use them at your home, workplace, or church - wherever you prefer to have a calendar. For each calendar, I provide two types of files: one in RGB and the other in CMYK formats.

What is RGB?

RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue, the primary colors of light. This color model is used for digital displays, such as computer monitors, TVs, and smartphones. In RGB, colors are created by combining these three colors in various proportions. When red, green, and blue light are combined at their highest intensity, they create white light. Lower intensities or different combinations produce a range of other colors.

What is CMYK?

CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black). It's a color model primarily used in color printing. Unlike RGB, which is additive (colors are added together to create different hues), CMYK is subtractive. It works by subtracting brightness from white. In CMYK, colors are created by overlaying different amounts of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink. The combination of these inks can produce a wide range of colors. The 'K' in CMYK represents black ink, which is used because mixing C, M, and Y does not produce a deep, solid black.

What to Use?

If you plan to print the calendar or bring it to a print shop—online or brick-and-mortar—then use the CMYK file, as it produces better quality prints. If you're going to use it on your computer, the RGB file is preferable, as it is smaller in size than the CMYK one.
